In only a few hours from now, I will be holding a presentation at Web 2.0 Day. The presentation is intended to give a basic overview over Ajax and JavaScript (which is kind of a tautology considering that the „J“ in Ajax actually stands for JavaScript). Obviously I’m very excited, mostly because it’s always a thrill to speak in front of a (fairly) large audience, but also because I’m looking forward to what the other speakers have to say.
It’s great to see a “tech university” take such a big interest in a topic that is so hard to grasp and that for the most part has little to do with technology at all. Obviously a fair majority of the presentations are centered around technology, but the introductory speech (as it seems) covers mostly the social aspects.
Either way, I’m excited but also exhausted. Assembling the stuff for my slides took so much longer than I expected and I also got a little carried away here and there.
And in other news, my blog is now finally online in case you hadn’t noticed. The blog runs on my own blogging system which I’ve been working on for over a year now. If you find any bugs, please let me know.
